We've all seen birth on TV. A woman's water breaks and she's rushed to the hospital, huffing and puffing out of nowhere. This is usually followed by stirrups, pain, blaming the husband and perhaps an emergency situation where the baby's life is in danger. Of course, once you have given birth you realise it doesn't always happen that way. It's not a TV formula. Unfortunately, many women have no other point of reference for birth other than media. We'd like to change that. Tell us about your birth in 150 words or less. Share your thoughts here and you could see your letter printed in the Letters department of Birthing Magazine or published online. You'll also be entered for a chance to win a Bamboo Monkeywrap baby carrier from Monkeywear! Don't forget to include your name, location and the number of children you have.
Please note that, by submitting to our "Write in to WIN!" discussion page, you are consenting to have your emails published in Birthing Magazine and online (www.birthingmagazine.ca). |
